Another incident involving damage to energy infrastructure has been recorded in Ukraine. According to DTEK, one employee died as a result of an enemy attack on a thermal power plant. Another worker was injured and is currently under medical supervision, receiving necessary treatment.

### Extent of Damage and Company Response

Significant damage to equipment has been confirmed in the strike zone. The exact scale of destruction is currently being assessed, as the company has not yet provided detailed information regarding the location and timing of the incident. DTEK expressed its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased specialist and wished a speedy recovery to the injured colleague.

### Statistics on Attacks on DTEK Facilities

This incident further confirms that energy infrastructure remains a priority target for the enemy. According to official company data, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have launched nearly 230 strikes against DTEK thermal power plants. The systematic destruction of these facilities has led to serious disruptions in power supply and human casualties.

### Chronicle of Recent Events in the Dnipropetrovsk Region

The situation in the energy sector remains tense. On June 7, Russian forces attacked a DTEK coal mining enterprise in the Dnipropetrovsk region twice. As a result of one of the strikes, a mine mechanic was injured while being in close proximity to the drone impact site. He was promptly provided with medical assistance.

Later, in the night of June 8, another powerful strike was launched, resulting in widespread power outages. Residents of 67 settlements were left without electricity, affecting more than 30,000 households. A fire broke out at one of the damaged facilities, which was promptly extinguished by employees of the State Emergency Service (SES).
