On November 1, 2026, Russian armed forces launched a new air strike on the territory of the Vinnytsia region. The Koziatyn community came under attack, where an unmanned aerial vehicle hit, killing two people and injuring three children. This was reported by the Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Natalia Zabolotna, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, whose data was cited by RBC-Ukraine.

### Victims and Casualties

According to Natalia Zabolotna, two people were killed as a result of the Russian strike on the Koziatyn community. A man died at the scene of the attack, and a woman, despite the efforts of medics, did not survive and died in the intensive care unit. In addition, three children were injured and hospitalized. Among the victims are two five-year-old children and one 16-year-old teenager. Medics assess their condition as moderate. All victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

### Impact Site and Extent of Damage

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that the Russian drone hit the territory of a vocational school dormitory. According to the regional administration, the impact site was located between the dormitory and one of the educational institutions. As a result of the incident, fires broke out in two cars, which were extinguished by rescuers. Relevant services continue to work at the scene, and the circumstances and full range of consequences of the attack are being clarified.

### Context: A Series of Attacks on Vinnytsia Region

The strike on the Koziatyn community became another episode of systematic air raids on the Vinnytsia region. Earlier, on the night of October 25, 2026, Russian forces attacked Vinnytsia and surrounding areas of the region with drones. Even earlier, on the night of October 17, Vinnytsia was left without electricity as a result of a Russian strike on energy infrastructure. Repeated attacks on the region indicate that the Vinnytsia region remains in the zone of a persistent threat of air strikes throughout 2026.

### What is Known at Present

As of November 1, 2026, official confirmation of the facts of the strike, the death of two people, and the injury of three children has been provided by two independent state structures — the Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service.
