# Strike on Kyiv destroys factory of US company Terminal Autonomy: first case of direct destruction of a US object

During a Russian missile strike on Kyiv, the factory of the American company Terminal Autonomy, which specializes in the production of high-precision strike drones, was destroyed. This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a publication by the British edition The Guardian.

According to a source familiar with the company's activities, the Terminal Autonomy production site manufactured long-range drones equipped with guidance systems resistant to Russian electronic warfare means. The enterprise was registered in the US state of Delaware in 2023.

### Technologies and application

The company's name is linked to a technology where, at the final stage of flight, control of the drone is taken over by artificial intelligence after the suppression of electronic warfare signals. According to the official website, Terminal Autonomy develops loitering munitions with AI elements and high-precision weaponry, which is already being used against targets on the front line.

According to The Guardian's assessment, this may be the first known case since the beginning of the full-scale war where a Russian missile destroyed an object belonging to an American company.

### Reaction and comments

At the time of publication, representatives of Terminal Autonomy did not respond to journalists' requests regarding the consequences of the strike. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also did not provide a comment.

Former senior US intelligence official Anthony Vinci, in a comment to The Guardian, stated that the ownership of the enterprise does not affect the choice of targets by the Russian side:

«It does not matter to the Russians who owns the production facility. It remains a target anyway. It does not matter to them whether it is American or someone else's».

### Context of the attack

Earlier, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, reported that during the massive attack on July 30, a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile crossed the airspace of Poland. According to Polish media, authorities are also considering the version of a Russian missile falling on the territory of the country.
