# Strike on Kyiv region: death toll rises to 11, suspicion announced to weapons exhibition organizer

The number of victims of the Russian missile strike on the Kyiv region has increased. One of the injured died in the hospital, confirming the tragedy of the events that took place on July 24.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kравченко. According to him, a 66-year-old man — a Ukrainian citizen and a diplomat of the Order of Malta — died from his injuries.

### New details of the investigation

Thus, the total number of victims of the enemy attack reached 11 people. Almost a hundred more people were injured with varying degrees of severity. The main blow hit the Bucha district, where Russian troops launched a ballistic strike on the territory of a private sports complex.

Earlier, the media reported that the target was a private range. However, Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ignat clarified that it was indeed a sports complex where a public event was taking place. Representatives of the Ukrainian Council of Arms confirmed that delegates from the defense industry were present at the location.

### Suspicion announced to the exhibition organizer

The investigation has already opened two criminal cases. One is being investigated under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes), the other — under Part 3 of Article 367 (improper performance of official duties resulting in serious consequences).

On Saturday, July 25, the organizer of the weapons exhibition was officially notified of suspicion. The man was detained. The court is currently considering the issue of selecting a preventive measure for him. The prosecution, given the risks, insists on detention without the possibility of bail.

Investigative bodies continue to work on establishing all circumstances of the tragedy and holding the guilty parties accountable.
