A powerful explosion rocked the Moscow region overnight. Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow Oil Refinery (MOR). The attack triggered a large-scale fire on the plant's territory. Flames engulfed key production facilities, including the primary oil processing unit ELOU AVT-6.

### Target of the Strike: Fueling the Army

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attack targeted an object critical to the logistics of the Russian army. The Moscow Refinery supplies more than 38% of fuel consumption in the region. The plant is a key supplier of aviation fuel for the major capital airports — Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky.

The plant's capacity exceeds 12 million tons of oil per year. The damage inflicted on the primary processing unit could significantly affect production volumes in the near future.

### Massive Attack Along the Entire Front Line

The attack on Moscow was not the only one in this series of strikes. Ukrainian defense forces conducted synchronized operations across the entire territory controlled by Russia. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of several strategic objects:

    - **Donetsk Region:** Command and observation posts were hit in the areas of Bohatyry, Velyka Novosilka, and Severodonetsk. Drones destroyed a field artillery depot near Kremenivka, as well as material and technical supplies depots in Donetsk and a drone depot in Mariupol.

    - **Bryansk Region:** Strikes were launched against enemy troop concentrations in the area of the Ivanovskoye settlement.

    - **Tula Region:** A hit on a defense industry enterprise — JSC "Central Design Bureau of Apparatus Engineering" (TSKB) — was confirmed. The enterprise specializes in the development of radar and radio navigation systems. As a result of the strike, the building and load-bearing structures of the assembly shop were damaged.

Furthermore, a fire continues at the "Temp Kombinat" plant in Rybinsk (Yaroslavl Region), which was hit back on June 14.

### Reaction from Ukrainian Leadership

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Moscow region felt the power of long-range strike assets overnight. He emphasized that the refinery was hit from a distance of 500 kilometers.

"Russia must be forced to stop the war against our people. And Ukrainian long-range weapons are one of the important components of such pressure. This is a fair response to Russian strikes — and to the prolongation of a war that needs to be ended," the head of state noted.

Commander of the SBU Special Operations Forces Robert "Madjar" Brovdy reported that the strike on the Moscow Refinery was carried out by operators of the 1st Target Designation Unit of the SBU jointly with the SBU, GUR, and other units. In his statement, he emphasized the pragmatic nature of the attack: "Flashes of fuel instead of flashes of anger — pragmatic punishment, without emotions and unnecessary words".

### Consequences for the Population and Economy

Attacks on fuel infrastructure are already being felt in the rear. In several regions of Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Tatarstan, major gas station networks have introduced strict restrictions on the sale of gasoline and diesel fuel. This is a reaction to resource shortages and attempts to stabilize the situation amid continued strikes on oil depots and refineries.

Recall that on the night of June 7, Ukrainian military also struck two of the largest oil depots in Crimea — the complex in Feodosia and the "Semikolodezyanskaya" base, which was used for fuel supplies to Russia.
