# Strike on Odesa Oblast: Injuries, Damage, and Water Outage in City Center

On July 31, 2026, a combined strike occurred in Odesa Oblast, resulting in casualties, damage to residential areas, and widespread disruptions to utility systems in the regional center.

### Casualties and Damage in Odesa District

According to official data from Oleksandr Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, an 84-year-old man was injured as a result of the attack. He is currently receiving necessary medical assistance. Damage has been recorded in the private sector: one residential house was completely destroyed, and six others sustained varying degrees of damage.

Additionally, fires broke out at the scene. Blazes were recorded in outbuildings and on the territory of a non-operational industrial enterprise. Emergency services promptly arrived at the locations and extinguished the fire.

### Power Grid Incident

At 14:42, an emergency shutdown of equipment occurred in the Odesa district. DTEK Odesa Power Grids reported that the incident led to power outages for a portion of consumers. Energy workers have begun restoration work to eliminate malfunctions and resume electricity supply.

### Water Supply Disruptions in Odesa

The power outage triggered a cascading effect in the city's water supply system. The Odesa City Council press service clarified that due to the lack of power, facilities of the company "Infoksvodokanal" were left without power, including backup intakes.

As a result, the following situation arose in the city districts:

    - The Primorsky and Khadjibey districts were left completely without water supply.

    - A temporary drop in pressure in the water supply network was recorded in the Peresyp and Kyiv districts.

Resumption of water supply is planned after energy workers eliminate the incident and restore power to the pumping stations.
