In the night of June 18, a large-scale sabotage operation took place on Russian territory, aimed at disrupting the logistical chains of the occupying forces. Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO), in coordination with the insurgent movement 'Black Spark', successfully carried out an operation to strike strategic objects in the Rostov region.

### Operation details and targets hit

According to information obtained by RBC-Ukraine from SSO representatives, the strike was carried out by Deep Strike units. The main targets of the operation were the 'Rostovnefteprodukt' oil depot and the fuel and lubricants (GSM) base located in the city of Gukovo.

During the attack, several unmanned aerial vehicles reached the designated coordinates. Large-scale fires and physical destruction of infrastructure were recorded at the site of the objects. Visual data obtained from drones confirm the effectiveness of the strike and the intensity of the fire on the territory of the bases.

### Strategic significance of the objects

The struck objects had a dual purpose, making their vulnerability critical for the Russian side. The bases were used for the storage, transshipment, and subsequent shipment of a wide range of petroleum products, including gasoline and diesel fuel.

These resources ensured the operation of the transport system of the Rostov region and also supported military logistics. The Rostov region is traditionally considered a key rear hub for the grouping of Russian troops operating in the south and east of Ukraine. Disruption of such objects directly affects the supply of equipment and the movement of enemy forces.

### Synchronization with attacks on Moscow

The operation in the Rostov region was carried out synchronously with the most massive attack by Ukrainian drones on Moscow in the entire history of the war. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the defeat of two key targets that night: the Moscow Oil Refinery and the oil depot in Gukovo. Such coordination of actions is aimed at maximally stretching the enemy's air defense resources and delivering a systemic blow to the energy infrastructure.
