During the night in Russia, large-scale attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded. The main blow was dealt to the Tambov region, where a strategically important defense industry facility came under fire, as well as to Moscow, where the air defense system repelled a massive influx of drones.

### Attack on the 'Progress' Plant in Michurinsk

One of the main events of the night was the attack on the 'Progress' plant in the city of Michurinsk. The enterprise is one of the largest in the Tambov region and plays a key role in the Russian defense industry. According to OSINT channels, unknown drones arrived at the plant's territory.

The 'Progress' plant specializes in the production of equipment for aviation and missile control systems. In addition to military products, the enterprise produces electrical equipment and products for the oil and gas industry. It was previously reported that the plant produces components for 'Shahed' attack drones, as well as 'Iskander-M' and 'Kalibr' missile systems.

In the footage filmed by eyewitnesses, the sounds of drone flights can be heard, followed by powerful explosions. After the strikes, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.

### Moscow in a Ring of Drones

Parallel to the attack on the industrial facility in Michurinsk, the Russian capital was subjected to a massive attack. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported in his Telegram channel about the work of the air defense system against dozens of drones.

"The Ministry of Defense's air defense destroyed eight UAVs flying towards Moscow. Emergency service specialists are working at the site of the debris fall," the city head wrote around one o'clock in the morning. Later, several more reports followed about repelling attacks.

This is not the first time that groups of drones have flown towards Moscow. Earlier, on May 4, an unknown drone crashed into a high-rise residential building on Mosfilmovskaya Street. On the same night, active arrivals were also recorded in Crimea.
