On the night of June 27, the Russian city of Volgograd became the target of a large-scale missile attack. Powerful explosions that rocked the city were recorded by eyewitnesses and later confirmed by satellite imagery. The strategically important defense plant 'Titan-Barricades' was hit.

### Satellite evidence and strike accuracy

Journalists from the publication 'Schemes' (owned by 'Radio Liberty') published fresh satellite photos from the company Vantor, taken on July 1. The images clearly show the aftermath of the attack: at least two buildings of the enterprise sustained significant damage. Earlier, videos also appeared on social media recording the precise impact of two Ukrainian FP-5 'Flamingo' missiles on the facility's territory.

Russian authorities attempted to present the situation differently, claiming that 'targets were shot down.' However, video evidence from eyewitnesses, showing clear impacts and thick columns of black smoke rising over the city, refutes these claims.

### Strategic significance of the facility

The 'Titan-Barricades' plant is a key element of the Russian military-industrial complex. The enterprise specializes in the production of launchers, artillery systems, and critical components for strategic and tactical missile complexes.

Specifically, elements for the following systems are manufactured here:

- 'Iskander-M';

- 'Yars';

- 'Topol-M'.

The destruction or damage to production capacities directly affects the Russian army's ability to produce weapons for strikes against Ukrainian cities.

### Official reaction from Kyiv

The successful attack was confirmed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The head of state emphasized that the strike was delivered against a large industrial complex where special military equipment and launcher components are produced.

"A hit followed by a fire on the factory territory has been recorded. Thank you to our Defense Forces soldiers for their accuracy," Zelenskyy noted, commenting on the results of the operation.

### Part of a broader strategy

The attack on Volgograd is not an isolated incident. Russian defense industry enterprises involved in the production of missile armaments are increasingly coming under attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Just a few days prior, on June 22, a series of explosions occurred in Voronezh. At that time, another important military plant producing microelectronics and components for Russian missiles was hit. Despite statements by local authorities, clouds of black smoke also rose over the facility, indicating a direct hit.
