# Strikes on Mykolaiv and injuries in Halitsyne: Russia intensifies attacks on civilian infrastructure and gas stations

On the morning of July 20, the Mykolaiv region was subjected to a new series of attacks by Russian occupiers. Enemy forces directed attack drones at the city of Mykolaiv and surrounding areas, causing damage to civilian infrastructure.

### Damage in Mykolaiv

According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, the attack was carried out using "Shahed" type UAVs (also known as "Gerberas"). As a result of the strike in the city of Mykolaiv itself, two gas station buildings were damaged. In addition, the windows of one of the multi-story residential buildings were damaged.

Fortunately, local authorities confirmed that no one was injured as a result of the morning attack on the regional center.

### Injuries in the Halitsyne Community

The situation was more severe in the Mykolaiv district. On July 19, the occupiers attacked the Halitsyne community twice using "Molniya" type drones. Two local residents in the village of Prybuzhsk were hit by enemy fire.

The injured were men aged 43 and 55. The victims were promptly hospitalized. In the morning, their condition is assessed as moderate but stable. A car was also damaged during the attack.

### Strategy of Russian attacks

New incidents have become direct confirmation of intelligence received earlier. On July 17, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warned citizens about a change in the enemy's tactics. The Russian army command ordered an intensification of drone strikes on civilian infrastructure and vehicles in frontline and border areas.

Priority targets for the enemy are now gas stations, trucks, buses, and passenger cars. This is confirmed by the facts of recent days: gas stations were damaged in Mykolaiv, and authorities in the Zhytomyr region have already banned the operation of gas stations during air raids. The WOG network has also switched to a special operating mode in seven regions of the country.
