# Strikes on Zaporizhzhia: Thousands without power, factory and garages destroyed, casualties reported

Powerful explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. The city was subjected to a series of strikes by guided air bombs launched by the Russian side. According to regional authorities, the attack resulted in extensive destruction and disruption of life support in several districts.

### Mass power outages

One of the main consequences of the attack was the disruption of the energy infrastructure. More than 15,000 subscribers were left without power. Of these, almost 14,600 are residential consumers, and more than 760 are legal entities. Energy workers have already begun restoration work, trying to restore electricity to residents as quickly as possible.

### Damage to industrial facilities and a garage cooperative

One of the strikes hit a food industry enterprise. As a result of the explosion, a production facility was destroyed. A 43-year-old factory employee was injured and was taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Another bomb hit the territory of a garage cooperative. The explosion damaged and partially destroyed several structures. As a result, two people were injured — a 76-year-old man and a woman of the same age. They sought medical help on their own.

### Counting casualties and rescue operations

According to the latest data, three people were injured as a result of the attack. Rescue services continue to work at the impact sites: eliminating the consequences of explosions, assessing damage, and assisting the injured. The exact scale of destruction is still being clarified.

### Context: Strikes on Kyiv

Recall that on the night of July 8, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kyiv. Fires broke out in two districts of the capital, and casualties were recorded. Emergency services worked at the impact sites, evacuating people and extinguishing fires.
