# The Mathematics of War: Finnish President Reveals the Real Ratio of Losses

Finnish President Alexander Stubb, known for his pragmatic approach to geopolitics, has released shocking statistics that fundamentally alter the perception of the current stage of the conflict. According to him, the war has ceased to be an intuitive struggle for survival and has turned into cold arithmetic, where Ukraine holds a favorable position.

Stubb divided the course of hostilities into three key stages. The first year he characterized as a period of fighting for the very existence of the state. The following three years became a time of demonstrating incredible resilience. However, the Finnish leader asserts that the era of "pure mathematics" has now arrived.

### Frightening Statistics for the Kremlin

The figures cited by the head of Finland sound like a verdict for the Russian war machine. According to Stubb's estimates, for every one Ukrainian defender killed, eight Russian soldiers are killed. Such a ratio of losses indicates that tactics and the will to victory are on the side of Kyiv, despite all attempts by Moscow to change the course of history.

Furthermore, the Finnish president drew attention to the internal climate in Russia. The popularity of the war among the Russian population is plummeting, giving Ukraine a strategic advantage not only on the battlefield but also in the information space.

### Medical Collapse in Russia

Stubb's words are corroborated by other sources. Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Pavlo Palisa, previously stated that enemy losses in the Donbas have tripled, while their advance remains minimal. The Kremlin, it seems, does not have real resources to implement ambitious plans for 2026.

The most alarming signals come from the Russian healthcare system. Due to the massive influx of wounded, civilian hospitals and even maternity wards in Russia are forced to be reprofiled into military hospitals. This has led to an acute shortage of doctors and hospital beds, leaving civilian patients without necessary care.
