The music industry has suffered a heavy blow: singer Lauren Bennett has passed away suddenly at the age of 38. The artist, widely known as a member of the group GRL and co-writer of the global hit «Party Rock Anthem», leaves behind a six-year-old daughter.

### Colleagues' Reaction and Circumstances of Death

News of the tragedy appeared on social media on July 7. Former members of the GRL collective — Emmaline Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula van Oppen — announced the loss of their friend. In a joint statement published on Instagram, they expressed their deep sorrow and shared memories of Lauren.

«With great sadness, we announce the death of our beloved Lauren. Our hearts are broken, and we cannot express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched many lives, and we will miss her dearly», the statement reads.

At this time, the official cause of the singer's death has not been disclosed. Lauren Bennett raised her daughter, Harlow, together with dancer Kenny Warmold.

### The Path to Global Fame

Lauren's music career began in 2007. She joined the girl group Paradiso Girls, whose debut track «Patron Tequila» (featuring Lil Jon and Eve) quickly gained popularity on dance floors. However, the group did not last long and soon disbanded.

As part of the collective, Lauren released the single «Vacation», which was included in the soundtrack for the movie «The Smurfs 2», and also recorded the song «Wild Wild Love» featuring Pitbull.

In 2014, the group presented their debut EP, which became the singer's last major work as part of GRL. The death of Lauren Bennett came as a shock to fans and colleagues, forever depriving the world of a bright musical talent.
