On the Sumy front, a change in the tactics of the Russian army is observed. Ukrainian military personnel report a decrease in the activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRG), while the intensity of artillery and air shelling remains high. This was reported by the representative of the National Guard of Ukraine, Ruslan Muzychuk, during a televised broadcast.

### Shift in pressure vector

According to Muzychuk, National Guard units, in close cooperation with border guards, are constantly monitoring the situation on the northern border and the North-Sloboda sections. Recently, a slightly lower number of attempts by sabotage groups to penetrate Ukrainian territory has been recorded.

However, this does not mean a reduction in the overall threat. Russian forces continue active operations, shifting the focus to artillery and air pressure. The Yunakivka community is cited as a particularly affected region in this context.

### Demonstrative actions and the "buffer zone"

The National Guard representative noted that the enemy periodically conducts demonstrative actions in the territory of the Sumy region. Experts link this to Russia's attempts to create a so-called "buffer zone" along the border.

Data from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirms the aggressive intentions of the occupiers. On July 19 and 20, Russian forces carried out limited offensive operations in the north of the region, attempting to advance. However, according to analytical reports, they failed to achieve success in these attempts.

### Current situation

Despite local successes in repelling attacks, the situation remains tense. Ukraine's defense forces continue to remain on high alert, monitoring any changes in enemy activity on the Sumy direction.
