A decision has been made in the Sumy region to temporarily adjust the curfew regime. From July 1 to September 15, 2026, movement restrictions will be in effect from 00:00 to 04:00. The corresponding joint order has already been signed.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA), Oleksandr Hryhorov. According to him, the decision was made at a meeting of the Regional Defense Council with the participation of the military command and relevant services.

### Farmers demanded changes

The initiative to adjust the schedule came from the local agricultural sector. During the period of active seasonal work, farmers critically need an additional morning hour to conduct field operations. As Hryhorov noted, the administration strives to make practical decisions that facilitate people's lives and community work without compromising security requirements.

"Security remains the top priority. In frontline communities, the duration of the curfew may vary depending on the operational situation," emphasized the head of the RMA.

### Context: strikes on infrastructure

The decision to ease the regime is being made against the backdrop of a continuing tense situation in the region. A reminder of the risks came on June 28, when Russian forces struck fuel infrastructure objects in the Sumy region. The goal of the attacks was to disrupt the region's logistical support and increase psychological pressure on residents.

Spokesperson for the Grouping of Joint Forces Viktor Trehubov stated that the enemy is attempting to expand control over territories east of Sumy. At the same time, he emphasized that all settlements in this direction remain under the reliable control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
