The first round of the Ukrainian Premier League 2026/2027 season has concluded. Over four days, from Friday to Monday, seven matches took place, each offering its own intrigues, bright moments, and unexpected results. The Sport RBC.UA editorial team has summarized the opening weekend and presented its version of the symbolic team of the round.

### Round 1 Results: From Blowouts to Sensations

The start of the new season was diverse. Zorya confidently defeated Kolos 2-0, while Karpaty inflicted a crushing defeat on Kryvbas (4-1) away. FC Kharkiv secured a narrow victory over Veres (1-0) in a tense battle.

On Sunday, Chornomorets lost at home to Polissya (1-2), while Epitsentr crushed Obolon 3-0. On Monday, Bukovyna and LNZ drew 0-0, and Shakhtar, as expected, demolished Kudrivka (5-1).

It is worth noting separately that the match between Dynamo and Levyi Bereh was postponed to December due to Kyiv's participation in European competitions.

### Symbolic Team According to Experts

To compile the symbolic team, the editorial team polled experts: Daniil Vereitin, Andriy Kostenko, Nikita Maliugin, as well as columnists Kyryll Krutorogov and Yevhen Nazarenko. Despite different tastes, there are common denominators in all the lineups.

The undisputed leader of the round was Shakhtar striker Cauã Elias. The Brazilian scored a hat-trick in the match against Kudrivka and was included in the team by all five experts.

Another universal choice was Karpaty captain Vladyslav Babohlo. He not only helped his team crush Kryvbas but also scored one of the goals himself.

The goalkeeper position proved to be the most controversial. Valentyn Horokh (Veres) and Heorhiy Yermakov (FC Kharkiv) each received two votes, while Herman Penkov (Bukovyna) received one.
