# Syrsky on the situation in the South: the enemy has concentrated over 70,000 soldiers, priority is the lives of Ukrainian warriors

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, conducted an inspection of units operating in the Southern Operational Zone. During the visit, he personally assessed the situation at the front and made a number of operational decisions aimed at strengthening the defense capabilities of frontline units.

### Scale of the enemy grouping

During talks with commanders, Syrsky announced data on the number of Russian troops on the southern front. According to him, the situation remains tense, and the enemy continues to increase its presence in key points. On the Alexandrovsk direction, according to Ukrainian intelligence estimates, more than 71,000 Russian servicemen are concentrated. Similar figures are recorded on the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions.

"The situation is dynamic," noted the Commander-in-Chief, emphasizing that active hostilities are taking place on both sides. Russian troops are trying to break through the defense, while Ukrainian units continue to hold positions and deliver counter-strikes.

### Decision on additional support

Given the intensity of the fighting and the initiatives of the commanders, Syrsky decided to provide additional supplies of technical equipment and ammunition to the units. "I supported the commanders' initiatives regarding active actions in certain directions," he emphasized.

It is important to note that the Commander-in-Chief particularly emphasized one fundamental point: when carrying out any combat tasks, the main priority remains the preservation of the lives of Ukrainian warriors. This became the key principle in planning further operations.

### Development of unmanned systems

A separate block of the meeting was devoted to issues of the application and development of unmanned systems. Syrsky held a conversation with the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Grouping, Major Robert Brovdi. During the conversation, the prospects for integrating new technologies into combat operations, as well as ways to improve the effectiveness of using drones on the battlefield, were discussed.

Unmanned systems have already become an integral part of modern warfare, and their role will only grow. Ukrainian military personnel are actively implementing innovations to maintain an advantage in conditions of fierce confrontation.
