Following one of the largest bombardments of the Ukrainian capital, the Kremlin has resorted to diplomatic blackmail, urging Western diplomats to leave Kyiv under the threat of "systemic strikes." However, behind the loud statements lies the real ability of Russia to maintain such attack tempos. Experts claim: Russia's industrial base does not allow for daily massive bombardments.

### Why are daily attacks impossible?

Analysts agree: Russia is effectively "consuming" missiles immediately after their production. For example, the monthly production of "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles is about 60 units, but during the spring attacks, more than 150 were spent. This means that stocks are depleting faster than they are being replenished.

According to experts, massive attacks are possible, but only with a periodicity of two to three weeks—the time needed to accumulate assets. Each such operation requires the concentration of a large amount of weaponry, which creates risks for the aggressor itself.

### "Oreshnik" missiles and other strategic systems

As for the medium-range ballistic missiles "Oreshnik," their production is carried out in single units. Their use is more of a propaganda nature—once every six months, to create an effect of "victory" for the domestic consumer and the generals.

Other high-precision systems, such as "Zircon" or "Onyx," are also in strategic reserve. Although it was previously planned to produce up to 10 "Zircons" per month, the actual rates have dropped to three. Over two years, about 200 units have been manufactured, and their use will be sporadic, not massive.

### Information warfare instead of military successes

Russia is trying to compensate for the lack of strategic successes on the battlefield with information operations. If in 2024 it was pressing with numbers, now it is trying to turn the chessboard upside down, using threats and psychological pressure.

Ukraine and the West are not falling for this blackmail. The European Union has clearly stated that diplomats will not leave Kyiv, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of a critical shortage of air defense means, especially for intercepting ballistic missiles.
