# Taxi in EW Conditions: Bolt Explains How to Avoid Geolocation Errors

Taxi users in Ukrainian cities are increasingly facing the problem of incorrect geolocation. The culprit is the active operation of electronic warfare (EW) systems, which disrupt GPS signals. As a result, the app may incorrectly determine the location of the passenger or driver, creating inconveniences when ordering and boarding.

Sergey Pavlik, a representative of the Bolt service in Ukraine, gave a clear instruction in an interview with RBC-Ukraine on how to act in such situations. According to him, the solution is simple and does not require special skills.

### How to fix the error manually

«In the app, you can always manually specify the pickup point — just move the marker on the map. This takes a few seconds and solves the problem», — noted the General Manager of Bolt in Ukraine.

It is enough to open the map in the app, find the desired location, and set the pickup point yourself. The system will accept it as current and transmit the data to the driver.

### The trip price does not change

The company emphasized that even when manually specifying the pickup point, the fare calculation algorithm remains the same. If the point is specified correctly, the price is formed according to the standard mechanism — without additional markups or adjustments.

### A new challenge for urban logistics

Bolt acknowledges that GPS failures due to EW operations have become one of the new challenges for urban logistics in wartime conditions. The service continues to adapt to these conditions, offering users simple and effective solutions.

Thus, despite external interference, it remains possible to order a taxi and get to the desired location — you just need to know how to quickly fix the geolocation error.
