# Technological breakthrough: for the first time, control of 'Molniya' drones via 'Gerbera' systems has been recorded

A unprecedented case of technical integration has been recorded in the Ukrainian military sector: for the first time, it has been possible to control 'Molniya' drones using control systems designed for 'Gerbera' (also known as 'Shahed'). This was reported by the President of Ukraine's adviser, Sergey 'Flash' Beskrestnov.

### Overcoming technical barriers

According to Beskrestnov, although the MESH modems on 'Molniya' and 'Shahed' drones operate in the same frequency range and have a common Chinese manufacturer, their joint operation was previously impossible due to licensing restrictions. Now these barriers have been overcome, opening up new possibilities for the tactical use of unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Today we have the first case of controlling 'Molniya' via 'Gerbera'," the adviser wrote. He added that such integration was expected and would likely become more widespread in the future.

### Strategic consequences

Beskrestnov also drew attention to the strategic consequences of this development. "If anything, we take out the 'Gerbera', and the 'Molniya' will fall on their own," he advised, highlighting the vulnerability of the system with this type of control.

This event is part of a broader trend that Flash regularly covers — technological changes in drone warfare. Recently, he announced the testing of new electronic warfare means against reactive 'Shaheds', noting that he already knows how the enemy will respond to these developments.

### Innovations in the defense sector

Ukrainian defense companies are actively implementing elements of artificial intelligence and machine vision into unmanned platforms. This allows for more effective circumvention of enemy electronic warfare and increases the autonomy of drones.

Particular attention deserves the development of the world's first autonomous copter-type interceptor drone, LITAVR. It is capable of taking off, chasing, and destroying aerial targets independently without pilot intervention during flight.

These innovations testify to the rapid development of the Ukrainian defense industry and its ability to adapt to new challenges on the battlefield.
