The situation on the front line in early summer is characterized by active actions on the part of Ukraine, which has managed to secure tactical successes on several key directions. According to analysts and command reports, Ukrainian troops are not only repelling enemy attacks but also striking critical infrastructure that ensures the logistics of the Russian army.

### Tactical successes in the north and east

The situation in the Borova direction deserves special attention. Here, Ukrainian units conducted successful operations, achieving local advances and repelling enemy counterattacks. At the same time, on the Kupianshchyna, the Russian command is trying to infiltrate small groups from both banks of the Oskil River, but these attempts have not yet yielded significant results.

In the tactical zone covering the areas of Konstantynivka and Druzhkivka, Ukrainian forces are holding positions and actively operating deep within the enemy's defense. There are reports of strikes on command posts and troop concentrations within a radius of up to 10 kilometers from the line of contact. Attempts by Russian troops to operate in small groups in urban areas are met with fierce counterattacks and strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles.

### Enemy reaction and general situation

In response to losses and pressure from the Ukrainian army, the enemy command is forced to resort to measures indicating a lack of resources. Rear and non-combat units are being transferred to the front to close gaps in assault operations.

On most other directions — Lyman, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Zaporizhzhia — the initiative remains with Russian troops, which continue their attacks. However, there is no confirmed data on significant enemy advances in these areas.

### Strike on logistics and statistics of liberation

A significant event was the strike on the Chongar Bridge, connecting occupied Kherson region and Crimea. Although there are currently no active ground battles in the Kherson region, damage to the crossing led to a temporary restriction of movement. The bridge is critical for the delivery of ammunition and fuel to Russian troops.

According to data announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, the total balance of liberated territories since the beginning of the year has exceeded 600 square kilometers. In particular, in May, Ukrainian forces liberated 100 square kilometers more than they lost.

### Diplomatic context

Parallel to the hostilities, the diplomatic track is developing. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that June and July will be the defining months of the war. In his opinion, decisions made at the EU, G7, and NATO summits can influence the conditions for a possible ceasefire and further developments.
