## Key Points

- Tesla presents the new Roadster generation on October 15, 2026.
- The project has been in development since November 2017 with multiple delays.
- Integration of SpaceX rocket thruster technologies is anticipated.

American electric vehicle giant Tesla will officially present its loudest and most anticipated project today, October 15, 2026 — the new generation of the electric Roadster sports car. This event is becoming a reality nearly nine years after the model's initial demonstration and following multiple delays in serial production.

### Background and Legendary Announcement

The concept of the second-generation Tesla Roadster was first introduced to the automotive world back in November 2017. The technical figures announced at that time became a true sensation in the industry: the manufacturer claimed the ability to reach speeds exceeding 400 kilometers per hour and cover a distance of nearly 1,000 kilometers on a single full battery charge. However, these ambitious numbers referred to the early prototype announcement period.

### Integration of SpaceX Technologies and Space Options

The most discussed and intriguing aspect of the project is a special version of the hypercar, which, according to preliminary data, will be equipped with unique technologies from Elon Musk's second company, SpaceX. We are talking about cold-gas thrusters with low thrust, which are expected to provide unprecedented dynamics in acceleration, cornering, and even short jumps of the car over the ground.

### Contradictory Data

During preparations for the long-awaited event, certain discrepancies arose in the schedule and demonstration details. Initially, the presentation was scheduled for October 1, but Tesla management urgently postponed it to October 15 due to an unfavorable weather forecast. Meanwhile, some specialized sources indicated different dates and focused on the car's ability to "hover" above the ground, sparking widespread discussions among enthusiasts.

### Assembly Line Prospects and Market Expectations

The mere holding of today's presentation does not mean that buyers will receive the long-awaited electric vehicles in the coming days. After nearly a decade of waiting, the main question for the market remains the actual launch timeframe for the mass assembly line and the delivery schedule for customers who placed pre-orders years ago.
