# Thunderstorms and Rain: Meteorologists Warn of Unstable Weather in Ukraine from June 9–12

Residents of Ukraine can expect typical summer weather fluctuations in the coming days. According to the forecast from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, unstable weather will prevail in most regions of the country between June 9 and 12. Meteorologists warn of the likelihood of short-term rain and thunderstorms.

### Causes of Instability

The main cause of this synoptic situation between June 9 and 11 will be atmospheric fronts operating in a low-pressure field, as well as a warm, moist air mass. This combination of factors will create ideal conditions for active convection development, especially during daytime hours.

As a result, precipitation is expected in many regions, which will be uneven in nature. This applies to both the geographical spread of the rain and its intensity. Additionally, fluctuations in atmospheric pressure and air humidity levels are possible throughout the week.

### Forecast for June 9

Already on Monday, June 9, the sky will be predominantly cloudy with clearings. At night, short-term rain is forecast for most northern, central, and southern regions.

During the day, precipitation is expected across almost the entire territory of the country, except for the western regions. Locally, meteorologists do not rule out the possibility of thunderstorms.

### Temperature and Wind

The wind will blow predominantly from the north-west at speeds of 5 to 10 m/s.

The temperature background at night will range from +13°C to +18°C, while in the western regions the air may cool down to +10...+15°C. During the day, the air temperature will rise to +20...+25°C, and in the south and south-east of the country, thermometer readings may reach +28°C.
