On July 6, occupied Crimea was plunged into darkness once again. Following new attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), power outages have been recorded across all regions of the peninsula. Widespread disruptions have affected both major cities and remote areas, paralyzing the usual rhythm of life.

RBC-Ukraine reports on the scale of the incident, citing data from the Russian agency "Interfax" and the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind." The press service of the occupation structure "Krymenergo" confirmed the fact of a total blackout, noting that emergency restoration work has already begun.

### Cause: Strikes on critical infrastructure

According to sources, the cause of the outages was technological failures in high-voltage networks caused by external interference. "Krymenergo" stated that consumers in all cities and districts of the Republic of Crimea were cut off from the power supply.

Operators promise to attempt to restore power by the end of the day; however, they state that no guarantees can be given at this time.

On the night of July 6, the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, commented on the situation, stating that the power disruption occurred "due to an AFU attack outside the city." However, eyewitnesses and local channels report more extensive consequences.

### Fire at a substation near Simferopol

According to the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind," a fire broke out at the "Simferopol" 330 kV substation as a result of the strike. The facility is located in the Strogonovka area near Simferopol.

Local residents report seeing fire and smoke in this area. Notably, this substation had previously been the target of an attack on June 25, 2026. The repeated strike confirms targeted efforts to isolate the Russian military presence on the peninsula.

### No light, water, or connection: The situation in the Razdolyansky district

Particular concern is caused by the situation in the Razdolyansky district, where a critical situation has developed. Here, there is a complete lack of not only electricity but also communication and water supply.

Residents of the district describe the chaos caused by the outages:

    - Stores continue to operate only if the owners have gasoline left for generators.

    - Trade is conducted exclusively in cash.

    - Banks are closed, and ATMs are not functioning due to the lack of electricity.

People from nearby villages are forced to drive to Razdolnoye to withdraw cash and buy necessary goods, but even there, they encounter closed financial institutions.

### Consequences for infrastructure and the economy

The incident on July 6 became another stage in the isolation of occupation forces. Previously, RBC-Ukraine reported how the SBU successfully attacked fighters at the "Saki" airfield for the second time in a week, striking military infrastructure.

Parallel to military targets, the civilian sector is also suffering. In Crimea, demand for leisure has dropped sharply following a series of strikes on the peninsula's infrastructure, which threatens the economic stability of the region, which depends on tourist flows.
