# Traffic Restrictions on the Southern Bridge: How to Cross the Dnipro in Kyiv from July 17

Drivers in Kyiv and guests of the capital should be prepared for changes in the traffic situation. From July 17 to 20, temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced on the Southern Bridge. This is due to the need to carry out repair work on one of the city's key highways.

Information about the restriction was confirmed by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCCA), based on data from the municipal enterprise "Kyivavtodormost". Specialists warned that ignoring these changes could lead to getting stuck in traffic jams, so it is necessary to plan routes in advance.

### Reasons and scale of work

The main reason for the restrictions is the repair of the asphalt concrete pavement of the carriageway. Road services have begun to restore the roadway to ensure safety and comfort of travel in the future. Work will be carried out in the direction from the left bank of the Dnipro River to the right.

According to the scheme provided by the city authorities, traffic will be organized in such a way as to minimize inconvenience for motorists, but it will not be possible to completely avoid lane closures. Drivers are advised to take into account possible delays when crossing the bridge during the specified period.

The municipal enterprise "Kyivavtodormost" calls on road users to be attentive and comply with the instructions of traffic controllers and road signs. Repair work is carried out during the daytime, which requires special attention to the road situation.

It is important to note that the restrictions apply specifically in the direction from the left to the right bank. In the opposite direction, traffic usually remains free, however, temporary delays are possible due to the restructuring of traffic flows.

We remind you that this year "Kyivavtodor" has planned the repair of a number of other capital roads and bridges. These works are part of the general program to improve the city's infrastructure. In addition, it was previously reported that the fare for public transport would increase from July 15, which could also affect the choice of routes for Kyiv residents.
