Powerful explosions rocked Sumy this morning. Russian forces launched a series of strikes using guided air bombs on the city, resulting in dozens of civilian casualties, with three killed on the spot.

The situation remains critical. According to the latest data, the number of people injured in the attack has risen to 21. This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Grygorov, commenting on the aftermath of the morning shelling.

### Casualties and Injured

Among the dead are three civilians: a 75-year-old woman and two men aged 54 and 77. Their lives could not be saved. The other injured were taken to medical facilities. Currently, 8 people are in hospitals, including two children.

Particular attention from medical staff is focused on four patients in critical condition. These are a 16-year-old teenager, a 75-year-old woman, and men aged 62 and 35. All four underwent emergency surgery, but doctors assess their condition as critical. Medical personnel continue to provide round-the-clock monitoring and necessary care.

### Damage and Scale of the Disaster

The strikes hit not only open spaces but also the city's infrastructure. As a result of the attack, more than 10 buildings were damaged. The list of affected objects includes residential buildings, office buildings, and, most alarmingly, medical facilities.

The visual consequences of the attack are obvious: hundreds of windows are blown out, and facades are destroyed. Civilian cars parked on the streets and in courtyards near the epicenter of the explosions were destroyed and damaged. The liquidation of consequences is ongoing; rescuers and utility services are working in a heightened state of readiness.

### Nature of the Attack

Today, Russian troops launched six strikes with guided air bombs (KAB) on Sumy. One of the bombs fell in an area with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, in close proximity to hospitals. The other strikes hit infrastructure objects.

Oleksandr Grygorov called these actions a deliberate strike against the civilian population. He emphasized that civilians and vehicles were at the epicenter of one of the hits, which makes the attack a crime against humanity. The Sumy region is once again in the danger zone, and the city's residents are facing real threats to their lives and health.
