For families with children planning a train journey, special conditions apply. Preferential rates apply to both domestic and international routes, allowing for significant savings on tickets. ### Free travel for toddlers

Children under 5 years of age can travel with their parents for free, but without a separate seat. This means the child will be on the adult's lap or on a shared seat, if provided for by the carrier's rules.

For children from 6 to 13 years of age inclusive, a 25% discount on the tariff price of the ticket applies to domestic railway travel. This allows families with school-age children to significantly reduce ticket costs.
