An atmosphere of anxiety and disappointment prevailed in Israeli government circles. Tel Aviv officials are openly criticizing the upcoming agreement between the United States and Iran, calling it a catastrophe for Israel's national security. According to local experts, the future deal not only fails to eliminate the threat from Tehran but also directly damages the interests of the Jewish state.

### A sense of betrayal and isolation

One senior Israeli official, who wished to remain anonymous, told the publication that the country is experiencing serious concern. The main problem, he said, is that Tel Aviv has been completely excluded from the negotiation process and cannot influence the content of the document.

«His voice is not heard. This is a bad agreement. No one is happy with it. Everyone understands that this is bad for us and damages Israel's interests», the interlocutor emphasized.

Another source in the Israeli government spoke even more sharply, stating directly: «Trump betrayed us». A third official added that in the region, this deal is perceived as the result of Iranian pressure and US concessions. He also expressed deep doubt about the durability of the agreement.

«In any case, that is the mood in our region, and therefore the agreement — at least in the short term — will be considered a failure. I remain skeptical about both the signing of the agreement and its durability», he added.

### Political calculation versus security

A detailed analysis of the situation, published in the Israeli publication Ynet, shows that the current framework agreement does not correspond to any of the principles that Israel voiced at the beginning of the military operation. The deal does not contain substantial provisions regarding Iran's missile program, does not require the liquidation of the regional proxy network, and ignores the issue of regime change in Tehran.

Israeli officials are convinced that Donald Trump is trying to quickly end the war to demonstrate a significant diplomatic achievement. In pursuit of this result, the US is ready to compromise on issues that Tel Aviv considers critical for the survival of the state.

### Nuclear threat and economic risks

The issue of the nuclear program is of particular concern. While the US speaks of removing and destroying nuclear materials, Iran insists only on their dilution. This gives rise to fears that the regime in Tehran will be able to quickly resume the race for nuclear weapons in the future, possibly as early as the day after Trump leaves office.

The economic aspect is no less critical. Even if Iranian assets are unfrozen exclusively for the purchase of food and medicines, lifting restrictions on Iranian oil exports could replenish the regime's treasury with billions of dollars. There is a real threat that these funds will be directed towards restoring military potential, developing new missile systems, and strengthening proxy organizations in the region.

### Uncertainty regarding signing dates

Washington and Tehran are discussing the signing of a framework deal that will extend the ceasefire regime and give the countries about two months to agree on a final document on ending the war. Yesterday, US President Donald Trump stated that Iran would completely abandon the development of nuclear weapons under the new deal, and hinted that the document could be signed as early as today, June 14.

However, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denies that the signing will take place on this day, although they do not rule out that it will happen in the near future. For now, Israel is waiting to see what will happen to their security after the signing of a document that many consider a failure.
