US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that Russia and Ukraine are capable of reaching an agreement to cease hostilities. He voiced his opinion during a meeting with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

'I saw pictures from those battlefields... People won't even believe how brutal this war is. And I have seen battlefields,' the US President added, emphasizing the unprecedented brutality of modern conflicts.

These statements continued Trump's recent rhetoric, in which he previously claimed that the end of the war is approaching faster than it seems. In his opinion, despite the massive strikes on Kyiv, Vladimir Putin is allegedly interested in ending the confrontation.
