During a recent press conference, U.S. President Donald Trump provided a detailed comment on the issue of transferring technology to Ukraine for the production of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. According to the American leader, Washington has not yet agreed to such a license, and this decision may not be reconsidered in the future.

### Risks of Technology Transfer

Journalists asked Trump what specific steps by Kyiv should precede the issuance of a license. In response, the U.S. President emphasized that transferring such technologies is fraught with serious risks. In his opinion, there is a real threat that the received missiles could be used against the United States itself.

"We haven't agreed to this yet. We are discussing it. But it is very difficult to transfer such technologies. And I don't think it will ever happen, but they could turn them against you. That is possible," Trump stated.

### Difficulty of Copying and Depletion of Stocks

The American leader also noted that the U.S. must exercise maximum caution when transferring the secrets of this weapon. He emphasized that the design of the missiles cannot simply be copied, making control over the technologies even more important.

At the same time, Trump acknowledged that the current situation requires accelerating the production of interceptors. According to him, Washington has already transferred almost the entire existing stock of these missiles to Ukraine, and now it is necessary to increase the rate of their production for its own needs.
