# Tuition fees at NAUKMA for 2026: starting from 50,000 UAH with an 11% increase

The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NAUKMA) has officially approved tuition fees for applicants for the 2026/2027 academic year. The university has recorded an increase in prices for most programs, although some key directions have remained unchanged.

According to published data, the minimum cost of studying at the university starts from 50,000 UAH per year. This means that compared to the previous year, when prices for budget programs were 45–48 thousand UAH, tariffs have increased by 6–11%.

### Stability in IT and Law

Despite the general trend towards higher costs, the NAUKMA administration has maintained previous rates for several in-demand specialties. The cost of studying in the fields of "Software Engineering", "Computer Science", and "Law" will remain at the level of the previous year. This decision distinguishes the university from other educational institutions where a more aggressive price increase is observed.

### Price increase for humanities programs

The most noticeable change affected humanities and management specialties. On average, for most programs, the cost of education increased by 5–8%. The leader in terms of cost became the "Political Leadership and Economic Diplomacy" program, the price of which reached 110,000 UAH per year.

The NAUKMA decision fits into the general context of pricing changes in Ukrainian higher education. Previously, information about a significant increase in tuition fees was announced by other leading universities in the country. For example, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University increased contract prices by almost 40%, and Ivan Franko Lviv National University raised tariffs by 30%.
