An important meeting at the level of foreign ministers took place in Kyiv, giving new impetus to diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, visiting the Ukrainian capital, made a proposal that could change the dynamics of the fighting. According to the Turkish diplomat, Ankara is considering the possibility of introducing a moratorium on hostilities in key areas that are critical not only for Russia and Ukraine but also for global security.

### Strategy of "partial calm"

Hakan Fidan clearly outlined the priorities of Turkish diplomacy. The main goal remains the complete cessation of the war. However, the minister acknowledged the difficulty of achieving this result immediately. As an alternative, he proposed a compromise option: declare a moratorium on strikes on two critically important directions. This proposal aims to reduce escalation and protect facilities on which the safety of millions of people depends.

### Diplomatic dialogue at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Hakan Fidan was received by the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for the peace process. Andriy Sybiha highly appreciated the role of Turkey, noting that Ankara has played an important role in finding ways to peace for many years. The Ukrainian minister expressed the belief that the potential of Turkish diplomacy should be utilized further to achieve stability.

### Ankara as a venue for negotiations

Against the backdrop of these events, statements are being made about the readiness for direct contacts between leaders. Earlier, Andriy Sybiha confirmed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Ankara is being considered as a possible venue for such dialogue. The capital of Turkey is positioned as one of the global diplomatic centers capable of ensuring neutrality and security for negotiations.

### Results of the NATO summit

In addition to bilateral issues, the alliance block was at the center of Hakan Fidan's attention. The Turkish minister called the recent NATO summit in Ankara a historic event. According to him, the allied countries managed to overcome disagreements and reach a consensus on key security issues, which strengthens the alliance's position in the face of modern challenges.
