# UAF Drone Strikes on Russian Engineering Troops: How Drones Are Changing Frontline Tactics

Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have launched a series of precision strikes against key Russian military assets. As a result of these attacks, temporary deployment sites, logistics hubs, and enemy transport convoys were hit. Special attention was paid to engineering units — formations involved in constructing the so-called “Surovikin Line” were targeted.

### Strike on an Engineer-Sapper Regiment

Operators from the 9th “Kairos” Battalion of the 414th “Madjar Birds” Brigade, along with representatives of the 1st Separate Center, the 412nd Nemesis Brigade, and the 413rd “Raid” Regiment, successfully struck a temporary deployment site of the 90th Separate Engineer-Sapper Regiment of Russia’s 51st Army. This regiment had previously been involved in fortifying defensive positions in southern Ukraine and training sappers for other occupying units.

The attack occurred near the settlement of Pionerske. According to RBK-Ukraine, information about the strike came from the AFU’s Unmanned Systems Forces.

### Strikes on Logistics and Resources

Simultaneously, operators of the 20th K-2 Brigade struck an enemy truck parking area in the Donetsk region. A gas storage facility used to support Russian military needs was also targeted separately.

Additional strikes were carried out on logistics facilities in the same region by the “13” Detachment of the 414th “Madjar Birds” Brigade. These actions aim to reduce the enemy’s ability to maneuver and sustain combat intensity.

### Impact of Strikes on the Frontline

“Destroying temporary deployment sites, logistics facilities, transport, and resource infrastructure reduces the enemy’s ability to maneuver, supply units, and maintain combat intensity,” emphasized the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Recall that last week, the AFU’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck several key Russian air defense targets — including the “Nebo-SV” radar station and the command-and-control vehicle of the “Buk-M2” system in the Luhansk region. At that time, drones from the 9th “Kairos” Battalion of the 414th “Madjar Birds” Brigade also hit enemy supply depots and a temporary deployment site.

### How Drones Are Changing Tactics

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles allows the AFU to deliver precision strikes on critical targets without risking personnel. This is especially effective against engineering and logistics units, which are often located in the rear and considered less vulnerable.

Drone tactics are becoming an increasingly vital component of modern warfare. They not only inflict direct damage but also disrupt enemy operations, depriving them of the ability to rapidly move forces and resources.
