An event capable of changing the security architecture on the continent took place in Paris. On July 13, the leaders of ten states signed a historic declaration on the creation of the Integrated Coalition for Missile Defense. This strategic alliance includes France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Ukraine.

The decision was made against the backdrop of a sharp increase in the threat of ballistic missile use. The participating countries agreed not just to exchange data, but to join forces to create an integrated defense system that will complement existing national air defense complexes.

### Unique experience as a key asset

A special place in the new coalition is given to Ukraine. The text of the declaration explicitly recognizes the unique experience of Kyiv gained during the resistance to Russia's aggressive war. It is the real combat experience of countering missile attacks that will become the foundation for the development of new interception means.

The countries intend to combine the potential of the defense industry and scientific research. The creation of joint working groups, the development of a project implementation roadmap, and management mechanisms are planned. The coalition remains open to other states that share these goals.

### Zelenskyy's strategy: from air defense to negotiations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the event, called the strengthening of anti-ballistic capabilities a key factor for ending the war. According to him, the effectiveness of the system directly affects the negotiation process.

"The more means Ukraine has to shoot down Russian ballistic missiles, the higher the probability that Putin will sit down at the negotiating table, because his last argument in this war will no longer work," the Ukrainian leader stated.

Zelenskyy also thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for organizing the first meeting of the coalition. He emphasized that the new Freyja system is intended not to replace current air defense means, but to complement them, creating a "reliable shield over all of Europe" faster and at lower cost.

### Technological foundation: the Freyja system

The initiative is based on the concept of a pan-European anti-ballistic shield, Freyja, which should be in the common ownership of partner countries. Earlier, the Ukrainian company Fire Point presented the FP-7.x missiles, developed specifically for this promising system. This indicates that the coalition is moving from political declarations to specific engineering solutions.
