# Ukraine's Ministry of Health completes the 2026 internship vacancy database: enough places for all graduates

In Ukraine, one of the key stages of preparation for the allocation of future doctors has been completed. The Ministry of Health of the country has officially confirmed that the vacancy database for the 2026 internship is fully formed. This means that a workplace for completing the practical part of training has already been reserved for every graduate of medical universities.

### Balance of supply and demand

According to the department, the situation in the labor market for young specialists is favorable. The Ministry of Health has about 5,400 real vacancies across the country. At the same time, more than 3,100 people are expected to participate in the general allocation of 2026. Among them are more than 2,900 graduates of the budget form of education and contract students claiming budget places.

Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development Maria Karchevych confirmed that the allocation process is organized effectively. She noted that more than 3,000 future doctors graduating from medical universities this year will definitely enter the internship.

"Graduates of medical universities this year can be calm: there will be enough places in the internship for everyone. Every graduate will be able to find an optimal option to start their career," the official stated.

### What graduates should do: action schedule

Despite the fact that vacancies have already been formed, the process is not over. The next stage will be working with data on academic performance. By June 15, higher medical education institutions must complete the upload of this information to the electronic system.

From June 16, graduates will be able to access their personal electronic cabinets. During this period, they need to:

    - Review the list of all available vacancies.

    - Check the correctness of the academic performance data entered by the educational institution.

### Geography and specialties

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has also analyzed the structure of demand. The most vacancies for interns have been posted on the web portal for the following medical specialties:

    - Family medicine;

    - Therapy;

    - Surgery.

As for geography, among the regions with the largest number of available places, the department highlighted:

    - Donetsk region;

    - Dnipro region;

    - Zaporizhzhia region.

Previously, the Ministry of Health had already named the categories of medical specialists that are in highest demand in the country. In addition, the state continues to implement support programs, including the provision of service housing for doctors, the purchase of which is financed by the budget.
