# New supply system: how Ukraine will ensure guaranteed provision of military drones

The Ukrainian army is launching a fundamentally new mechanism for supplying combat units with unmanned aerial vehicles. New rules are set to take effect in July, aimed at solving the problem of uneven equipment distribution and establishing long-term operational planning.

The launch of the project was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov. According to him, the key problem at the moment is the chaotic nature of supplies: different units receive drones in varying volumes, which undermines the planning of complex combat tasks.

### "Basic Level of Supply" Project

To eliminate the imbalance, the Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff, is implementing a guaranteed resource system. This will allow commanders to plan combat operations several months in advance, and manufacturers to forecast demand for 6–12 months and scale factories to meet specific needs.

At the first stage, the "Basic Level" system will include the most in-demand types of equipment:

    - FPV drones on radio and fiber-optic links;

    - Reconnaissance drones of the Mavic type;

    - Bombers ("bombers");

    - Wing reconnaissance drones;

    - Light middle-strike class drones.

### Digitalization of procurement and equipment selection

An important element of the reform will be the introduction of the DOT-Chain digital system. Through this interface, the military will be able to independently select the necessary drones. If the required model is temporarily out of stock, the system will offer an analog with identical or similar tactical and technical characteristics.

Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that this is just the first step. In the future, the approach will be scaled to other categories of weapons and military equipment, becoming a new standard for the Defense Forces.

### Personnel training

Parallel to the logistics setup, the training of operators continues to be improved. In the conditions of modern warfare, requirements for piloting skills are growing. While basic drone control skills can be mastered in a few days, full preparation for combat tasks takes from two to six weeks.
