# Drone Deal: Ukraine Proposes Strategic Partnership to Ireland in Drone Technologies

In Dublin, during the official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a new initiative was announced that could reshape the landscape of defense cooperation in Europe. The head of the Ukrainian state proposed that Ireland sign a special agreement in the field of unmanned technologies, dubbed the Drone Deal. The initiative aims to strengthen security in airspace and maritime domains through direct interaction between business structures of the two countries.

### Direct Dialogue Between Industries

A key element of the proposal is the elimination of bureaucratic intermediaries in favor of direct links between defense enterprises. During a press conference with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Kyiv seeks to establish close contacts between companies engaged in the development and production of modern systems.

Ukraine is ready not only to export ready-made solutions but also to share unique experience accumulated during real combat operations. According to the President, this covers both drone design and the tactics of their combat use. "We are offering the Drone Deal, the corresponding technologies. This allows us to build direct and effective cooperation between our enterprises and companies," Zelenskyy noted.

### Safety of Sky and Sea

The goal of the initiative is to create a reliable shield for Irish infrastructure. The Ukrainian leader is convinced that access to advanced developments will help Ireland ensure the security of its borders. "We are very confident that Ireland will view these future cooperation opportunities positively. This is the safety of the sky, this is the safety of the sea," the President summarized.

It is expected that Irish business will gain access to unique technologies that have already proven their effectiveness. This cooperation could cover several strategic areas, from reconnaissance to the protection of critical infrastructure.

### Global Context of the Initiative

The Drone Deal is not a one-off event but part of a large-scale strategy to promote the Ukrainian defense industry. Previously, Latvia officially became a participant in this international initiative, confirming the interest of EU countries in Ukrainian developments. Parallel to the negotiations in Dublin, the Ukrainian company Swarmer joined forces with American manufacturer Powerus to supply drones with swarm control technology to the Pentagon.

For its part, Ireland continues to support Ukraine at the diplomatic and humanitarian levels. Now, technological partnership has been added to the agenda, which could become a new chapter in the relations between the two states.
