# Ukraine U-20 Youth Team Advances to EuroBasket U-20 Quarterfinals: Opponent and Schedule

The Ukrainian U-20 youth basketball team has successfully completed the group stage of the 2026 European Championship in Division B. The team confidently took first place in Group B, playing all matches with high intensity, and is now ready for the decisive stage of the tournament, which is being held in Slovakia.

### Who will be the opponent in the playoffs

Along with the Ukrainians, the Luxembourg national team advanced to the playoffs. However, in the quarterfinals, the team coached by Dmytro Zabirchenko will face the ambitious Irish team. The Irish qualified for this stage by finishing second in Group A, winning three out of four matches.

The opponents' path to this meeting was not easy: the Irish defeated North Macedonia (69:56), suffered a heavy defeat against Sweden (58:90), but then redeemed themselves by beating Azerbaijan (54:47) and Slovakia (86:49).
