Ukraine's youth basketball team (U-20) has made a historic breakthrough, winning the gold medal at the EuroBasket in Division B. In the final match, the Ukrainian basketball players secured a convincing victory over the Iceland national team, guaranteeing their promotion to the tournament's top division for the next season.

### The Final: The Fight for Gold

The decisive championship game began with a confident start by the Ukrainian team. In the first quarter, our players managed to impose their rhythm on the opponent and took a lead of 18:13. However, in the second quarter, the Icelanders stepped up their game and managed to narrow the gap. Despite the opponent's intensified resistance, the Ukrainian team maintained their lead and went into the halftime break with a 7-point advantage — 27:34.

The third quarter proved to be the most tense part of the match. The Icelandic team managed to pressure the Ukrainians and bring the intrigue back into the game. Before the final stretch, the score was extremely close — 46:50. It seemed the outcome of the duel would be decided in the last minute, but the Ukrainian team rallied and delivered a powerful fourth quarter.

Thanks to this success, Ukraine's youth basketball team has earned the right to compete in Division A next season. This means that Ukrainian basketball players will be competing against the strongest teams in Europe, which will be a serious challenge and an opportunity for growth.
