The country has officially launched its own intelligent assistant, Lapathoniia, built on domestic large language models. This is not just another chatbot, but a full-scale demonstration that complex AI solutions can operate without relying on foreign servers. The main feature of the new project is the complete localization of infrastructure. All computing power and databases are physically located in Ukrainian data centers, guaranteeing absolute control over information and its security. The developers chose the De Novo platform to ensure independence from external jurisdictions. ### Technology Stack and Capabilities The service acts as a demonstration platform for Ukrainian LLMs (Large Language Models). In the current version, users have access to two powerful models: MamayLM and Lapa LLM. The development team does not intend to stop there and plans to significantly expand the arsenal of available algorithms in the near future. Unlike many analogues where the focus is on dry metrics and tables, Lapathoniia offers to evaluate capabilities through live interaction. Testers can already check file handling, built-in web search, the "memory" function, and the solution of complex analytical tasks. ### Academic Support and Strategy The project is being implemented with the active support of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems at Lviv Polytechnic National University. University experts emphasize that the development of domestic AI technologies is critical for forming a national ecosystem focused on local context and real market needs. At the moment, the service is in the closed beta testing stage. Developers are actively collecting feedback, focusing on response generation speed, context understanding quality, and user interface convenience.
