Ukrainian physician Yana Tokar is officially preparing to take the world stage at the prestigious international Mrs. Universe beauty pageant. In the current year, 2026, she will participate in the competition representing Slovakia, the country where she currently resides and successfully operates her own business. The event has drawn public attention both as a personal achievement for the participant and as a discussion on self-representation in the context of emigration.

Preparations for the contest have reached the final stage. Yana Tokar shared photos on the social network Threads, posing in an elegant white gown complemented by a gold corset. This look has become her official calling card, underscoring her status as Mrs. Slovakia. According to the contestant herself, deciding to become part of such a large-scale event was a significant challenge and an opportunity to step beyond her usual professional routine.

### Personal motivation and social mission

Commenting on her participation, Yana emphasized that for her, this experience is about overcoming internal barriers. She has chosen the phrase "Nothing is impossible" as the motto for this stage of her life. Although Tokar is representing Slovakia, she speaks openly about her attachment to her home country. In discussions with followers, she explained that her goal is not only to perform well for the host nation but also to draw global attention to the situation in Ukraine.

### Contradictory data

A debate has emerged in the public sphere regarding the legitimacy of Yana representing Slovakia. Some audience members have raised questions about the selection criteria for contestants, given the candidate's Ukrainian citizenship. Tokar herself justifies her choice by the fact that she has integrated, lives, and conducts professional activities in Slovakia, which aligns with the national selection rules for the "Mrs." category. Official sources have currently raised no objections to the legality of this participation, noting the private nature of the Mrs. Universe pageant.

### Context of the competition

It is important to distinguish between Mrs. Universe and Miss Universe. The former project is aimed at married women and focuses on social activity, leadership, and personal achievements rather than physical beauty alone. The participation of Yana Tokar, who is a qualified doctor, highlights the intellectual vector of modern beauty contests, where professional standing plays a significant role.
