## 🎯 Key Points

- A second-hand flash drive contained wedding photos of a British couple from 2010.
- The Threads post author found the profile of the likely woman in the photos, but she blocked him.

Buying items at a second-hand shop sometimes brings the most unexpected surprises, as evidenced by a recent story that went viral on social media. A resident of Ukraine, having purchased a used digital storage device, decided to check its contents and found not empty sectors, but an archive of personal pictures. ### An Unexpected Discovery from Great Britain

As it turned out upon closer examination of the files, the flash drive stored a whole series of professional and amateur wedding photographs. According to metadata and details in the frames, the celebration of the British couple took place approximately on October 29-30, 2010. How the storage medium with personal family archives traveled thousands of miles and ended up in a Ukrainian second-hand market remained a mystery.

### Search via Social Media and Unexpected Finale

Wishing to restore justice and return valuable memories to their rightful owners, the author of the find published a post on Threads. Thanks to the power of the internet community, users quickly found the page of a woman named Amy Paxton, whose appearance matched the bride in the pictures. The author contacted her and her possible relatives, hoping to pass on the lost family relics.

### Contradictory Data

On the one hand, the network investigation by Threads users yielded instant results, pointing to the likely owner of the photographs and confirming the British origin of the couple. On the other hand, the outcome of the story turned out to be unexpectedly cold: the woman did not respond in any way to the messages of the proactive Ukrainian, and later completely blocked his social media account, after which the author decided to delete his viral post.

### The Importance of Digital Hygiene

This incident vividly illustrates the importance of basic digital hygiene and clearing personal data before selling or disposing of electronic media. What started as a touching attempt to reunite a family with their archive frames ended with a refusal by the putative owner, leaving many questions unanswered.
