# Ukrainian LITAVR Interceptor Drone: Autonomous Hunting of Shaheds and Abandonment of Chinese Components

In the conditions of modern warfare, where technology decides everything, Ukraine is betting on its own developments capable of outpacing the enemy in every technological cycle. The Ministry of Defense of the country has presented a new interceptor drone, the LITAVR, from the company F-Drones. This is not just a means of destruction, but a complex system with an automatic target acquisition function, designed to maintain leadership in the "war of innovations".

### "Last Mile" Technology: How LITAVR Works

The main feature of the new UAV is the Last Mile (or Pixel Lock) system. It radically changes the attack scenario: the drone independently identifies the target and guides itself to the final stage of the strike. At the moment of immediate approach to the object, the pilot only needs to control the speed, while the entire process of aiming and trajectory correction is handled by the automation.

Development of the anti-drone began in the autumn of 2024. By the summer of 2025, the device had passed successful tests and was codified. Since the autumn of this year, serial production and delivery of equipment to the troops has begun.

### Full Independence: From Code to Engines

The company F-Drones is implementing a strategy of full technological sovereignty. Developers independently create software, electronics, engines, controllers, and flight controllers. This allows for a consistent reduction in dependence on foreign, in particular Chinese, components, which is critical under sanctions.

The drone body is manufactured using plastic molding. This technology ensures high structural strength and guarantees stable characteristics during mass production.

### Specifications and Capabilities

LITAVR is designed to destroy aerial targets and engage ground objects. Its technical parameters allow it to effectively perform tasks at significant distances:

    - **Range:** the operational radius is 40 km, however, a maximum flight distance of over 80 km has been recorded.

    - **Guidance:** the Pixel Lock system ensures autonomous completion of the attack.

    - **Optics:** day and thermal imaging cameras are installed on board with the ability to switch modes.

    - **Integration:** the drone is compatible with various radar systems via its own LARAG software complex.

    - **Warhead:** located in the nose section. It is supplied in two versions: either as an empty container for loading explosives by the unit on-site, or as a ready-made warhead with a NATO code.

    - **Remote Control:** the operator can control the drone from hundreds and even thousands of kilometers away from the interception point. If the target is not detected, the pilot switches the initiation board to safe mode and returns the device to base.

### Scaling and Availability

Currently, the drone is available in the closed catalog of the Brave1 (BraveMarket) platform, where military units can submit a request for delivery. In addition, the manufacturer has announced a free update for all previously delivered first-generation drones. The modernization includes both hardware and software modifications to implement the auto-aiming system.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov previously stated about the scaling of new-generation interceptor drones capable of shooting down Shahed-type UAVs autonomously. "We continue to systematically strengthen air defense. We are scaling solutions that have already proven their effectiveness in combat conditions," emphasized the head of the department.
