The legendary Mugello circuit in Italy once again witnessed the success of Ukrainian motorsport. As part of the fourth round of the Italian Formula 4 championship, Prema Racing driver Alexander Bondarev finished in third place in the second race. This result marked the 17-year-old driver's second podium finish of the 2026 season.

### Strengthening positions in a prestigious championship

Italian Formula 4 is traditionally considered one of the strongest junior tournaments in the world and a key career stage for future Formula 1 stars. In the current season, more than 40 drivers from various countries are competing for the championship title, creating incredibly fierce competition. Every point and every position here are of decisive importance.

The success at the Mugello round allowed Bondarev to significantly strengthen his position in the overall standings. For a debutant competing among Europe's strongest drivers, consistent top-three finishes are the best proof of his potential and readiness for serious challenges.

### The path to the "King of Races"

Alexander Bondarev represents one of the most decorated teams in junior motorsport — Prema Racing. However, his status goes far beyond a standard team affiliation. The driver is a member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy, becoming the first Ukrainian in history to join the youth program of the British Formula 1 team.

It was through the Italian "fourth" that many current "King of Races" drivers passed in their time, making Bondarev's achievements particularly significant. His progress this season demonstrates that Ukrainian motorsport is capable of nurturing world-class drivers ready to compete on the international stage.
