# Heatwave and Peak Load: 'Ukrenergo' Urges Ukrainians to Save Electricity on the Evening of June 29

On Monday, June 29, Ukraine's power system will face a serious load due to abnormal heat. The electricity distribution system operator 'Ukrenergo' has officially called on the population to conserve resources, especially during evening hours.

### Optimal Time for Energy Consumption

Specialists recommend that residents change their usual schedule for using appliances. The most favorable period for the active operation of electrical appliances is named from 10:00 to 16:00. It is during these hours that industrial solar power plants operate with maximum efficiency, providing the network with additional energy.

At the same time, the company strongly asks to limit the use of powerful appliances during the evening peak load — from 16:00 to 23:00. During this period, the demand for electricity traditionally increases, creating critical stress on the network.

### Risks of Outages and Recommendations

The situation is exacerbated by weather conditions. Earlier, the company 'Yasno' warned that the power system is operating in an extremely tense mode due to the heatwave covering Ukraine and most of Europe. Experts advise charging mobile devices in advance and paying close attention to official announcements.

The Chairman of the Board of 'Ukrenergo', Vitaliy Zaychenko, previously outlined a scenario in which the duration of outages could reach five hours. Such a risk arises from the combination of two factors: mass attacks on energy infrastructure and a temperature regime above +30 degrees. To balance the system under such conditions, it will inevitably be necessary to limit consumption during peak hours.

### Regional Warnings

Against the backdrop of the general alarming situation, messages about possible outages as early as June 30 began to spread on social media. Information about electricity supply restrictions is coming from several regions:

    - Khmelnytskyi Oblast;

    - Mykolaiv Oblast;

    - Zaporizhzhia Oblast;

    - Kyiv Oblast;

    - Cherkasy Oblast;

    - Kirovohrad Oblast;

    - Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

Outage schedules for Volyn Oblast have also been published. Energy workers urge the population to remain calm and act in accordance with official instructions.
