The Ukrainian railway company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has decided to launch additional passenger trains on the Kyiv — Carpathians route. This initiative is a response to a sharp rise in tourist interest in Zakarpattia and the mountain region. The operator analyzed current booking statistics and redistributed rolling stock to meet passenger needs in the most in-demand directions.

### New routes and schedules

To ensure uninterrupted communication, new trains with numbers 213/214 and 251/252 have been put into operation. They run between the capital and the Rakhiv station, which is a key transport hub for travelers heading to the mountains. Tickets for these services are already on sale and can be purchased via the carrier's official website or the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' mobile app.

### Technical aspect: accelerated repair

The ability to quickly launch new services was the result of the work of repair teams. Specialists restored the rolling stock at an accelerated pace and returned the carriages to the operational fleet, which allowed for a rapid increase in carrying capacity on popular routes.

### Network development: Odesa and Ternopil

The expansion of rail transport is not limited to the mountain region. Earlier, the company announced the launch of new daily 'Intercity' express trains from Kyiv and Dnipro to Odesa, with the start scheduled for the end of June. In addition, the frequency of existing services to the south and west of the country has been significantly increased. Trains from Kyiv to Odesa and Ternopil will now depart six times a week, whereas the previous schedule provided for only three services.
