The United States and Iran have officially confirmed the achievement of an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding. The document aims to bring about a complete cessation of hostilities between the two countries and normalize the situation in the region. The official signing ceremony is scheduled for next Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.

US President Donald Trump confirmed the signing of the agreement immediately upon arriving in France, where he is attending the G7 summit of leaders. According to him, the passage is already partially open, marking an important step towards stabilization.

### Unblocking the Strait of Hormuz and Restoring Trade

One of the key points of the agreement reached was the unblocking of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. The US officially lifts the blockade on Iranian territories, while Tehran pledges not to impede the passage of oil tankers. Ship movement in the region is already beginning to recover.

US officials predict a significant increase in traffic in the near future. According to experts, the full return of logistics chains to normal will take about two weeks. As an anonymous representative of the US administration noted, the increase in traffic in the strait has already begun and will gradually intensify.

### Reaction of Global Markets

Financial markets reacted instantly to the news. Oil prices showed a decline against the backdrop of expectations of supply stabilization and the removal of the threat of logistics disruption. At the same time, stocks of leading companies related to energy and shipping showed rapid growth.

### Ceasefire Conditions and the Nuclear Issue

Although the full details of the agreement are not yet disclosed, it is known that the parties have agreed on a 60-day ceasefire period. This time interval is allotted to diplomats to resolve key disputes and develop long-term security mechanisms.

Washington's main demand remains unchanged: Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons. Donald Trump emphasized that sanctions will remain in place until Tehran fulfills all conditions. The US President also warned that in the event of a failure of negotiations on the nuclear program, attacks could be resumed.

European leaders have declared their readiness to lift sanctions on Iran, but have put forward a strict condition: this will happen only in response to "clear and verifiable steps" by Tehran regarding its nuclear program.

### Situation in Lebanon and Israel's Position

A separate point in the negotiations was the situation in Lebanon. The Iranian side demands an immediate cessation of all Israeli attacks, however, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu holds a different position. Israel keeps its troops in southern Lebanon and reserves the right to launch retaliatory strikes against "Hezbollah".

Washington confirmed that the withdrawal of Israeli forces was not a condition of the current agreement between the US and Iran. Earlier, a breakthrough in the negotiations was reported by Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, calling the future agreement a significant event for the region.
