# Victim of Strike in Kyiv Region: Employee of Polish Defense Company Killed

A Russian ballistic strike on the Kyiv region, carried out on the afternoon of July 24, claimed dozens of lives and caused extensive destruction. Among the deceased was an employee of a Polish company operating in the defense sector. This was confirmed by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

### Foreign National Among Attack Victims

According to Defence24, the deceased man was an employee of a Polish defense enterprise. However, it is noted that he was not a Polish citizen. The tragedy occurred in the Bucha district, where the most severe consequences of the missile impact were recorded.

### Scale of Destruction and Casualties

The attack resulted in 10 deaths, with approximately 100 others sustaining injuries of varying severity. Rescue workers and law enforcement officers are currently at the scene assessing the damage and conducting search operations. Ukraine's Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kравченко, announced the opening of two criminal cases.

The first investigation is being conducted under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes). The second case concerns the possible failure to properly perform official duties during the organization of an event, which may have led to loss of life and other serious consequences.

### Target of the Strike: Sports Complex

Yuriy Ignat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, provided details of the incident. A Russian ballistic missile hit a private sports complex in the Kyiv region. Earlier, there were rumors that the target might have been an Armed Forces of Ukraine training ground, but this information was not confirmed.

The incident has sparked widespread resonance both in Ukraine and in international circles, particularly due to the death of a defense industry employee linked to Poland.
