An incident involving the use of a cold weapon against representatives of the authorities occurred in the Vinnytsia region. During a routine document check, a Ukrainian citizen attacked an employee of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC) with a knife.

### Details of the attack

According to the press service of the Vinnytsia Regional TRSSC, the incident took place on July 25, 2026. The victim of the aggression was a member of the notification group who was transporting the violator to the center to clarify his military registration data.

The man, who had been listed as a violator of military registration since 2025, began behaving extremely aggressively even during the arrest process. He used profanity directed at the servicemen, after which he pulled out a folding knife and injured one of the employees.

### Consequences and law enforcement reaction

Medical assistance was promptly provided to the injured serviceman. As of the time of the news publication, his health is assessed as satisfactory, with no threat to life.

A criminal case has already been opened regarding the attack. The aggressor has been detained in accordance with the current legislation. He faces liability under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

### Context of the situation in the region

This case is not isolated in the Vinnytsia region. The TRSSC press service recalled that a similar incident occurred on April 4, 2026: a notification group stopped a citizen for a document check, after which he also pulled out a knife and struck two servicemen. At that time, one of the soldiers was hospitalized in intensive care.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, attacks on TRSSC employees are recorded in various regions of the country. In some regions, the dynamics of such crimes cause particular concern to law enforcement agencies.
