Extensive cleanup operations continue in the city of Vishneve in the Kyiv region following a Russian strike. The situation remains critical: the number of fatalities has risen to nine, and the destruction has affected nearly 300 residential buildings.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (RMA), Mykhailo Kalashnyk, in his Telegram channel. According to him, a man who sustained severe injuries during the attack passed away in the hospital. Authorities have expressed their sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.

### Scale of destruction and damage assessment

Special commissions have already completed the preliminary inspection of damaged housing. According to the latest data, 253 private homes and 27 apartment buildings have been damaged. More than 1,600 windows have been blown out in the multi-story buildings. There are also 65 reports from business representatives whose property was damaged as a result of the strike.

The damaged objects have been divided into three categories depending on the degree of damage:

    - **Minor damage:** 115 homes. Owners of these properties will receive state compensation for independent repairs.

    - **Major repair:** 47 homes. Restoration will be funded from the state and regional budgets.

    - **Total destruction:** 91 homes. These objects require demolition and new construction, which will also be funded by the state.

In addition, the repair of two damaged apartment buildings and the restoration of engineering networks for the entire block are planned. The final scale of destruction will be clarified as the full inspection is completed.

### Rescuers' work and humanitarian aid

Representatives of regional and local authorities, rescuers, police, utility services, energy workers, and gas distribution specialists are working at the scene. During the day, more than 200 utility workers were involved in the cleanup, special equipment was deployed, and volunteers and charitable organizations provided assistance.

As of the evening, 18 injured people remain in medical facilities. All of them are receiving the necessary medical care.

Temporary accommodation points have been organized for people who have lost their homes. Currently, 60 people are staying there, while another 160 have been accommodated with relatives and acquaintances. Authorities promise to quickly increase the reserve of places if necessary. Also, thanks to the work of Oleh Bybykov's food truck, three hot meals a day have been organized for the residents.

### Official position and context

The main task now remains to provide maximum assistance to each affected family, ensuring housing and infrastructure restoration. Earlier, the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Lykhovyi, reported that a secondary detonation occurred in Vishneve after the strike on July 6. At the same time, he emphasized that the object where the repeated explosions occurred is not under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
